Saving the Log as a Conversion Job

The Log tab, found near the very bottom of the interface, contains any problem files encountered during conversion. If any entries exist in the Log, you can save them as a conversion job for processing at a later time, with different methods.

To do so, from the File menu, select Save Log as a Conversion Job.

For example, a typical user might want to first convert MS Word files using Convert Doc's built in conversion method (since it is much faster), then do a final sweep of any problem files using MS Word to do the conversion. The sequence would look like this:

  1. Specify a conversion job.
  2. Initiate the conversion job.
  3. From the File menu, save any problem files as a conversion job by selecting Save Log as a Conversion Job.
  4. Load conversion job you just saved.
  5. Modify the Conversion method to use MS Word for each file.
  6. Initiate the conversion job.
