Special Processing: Removing Empty Lines

This special process deletes those lines that appear invisible or empty. This includes those lines that have the following characters: space, linefeed, carriage return, tab and vertical tab. You can do a single file or whole folder of files as a single task. Follow these steps to remove empty lines:

  1. Select the option "Remove Empty Lines" from the Special Process list.

  2.  Choose the File Format of the input and output files. Note that both the input and output files must be of the same file type.

  3. From Select Input File(s)/Folders To Process choose the input file(s) to be processed from the "image\ebx_1332418670.gif File" or "image\ebx_-668700270.gif Folder" buttons. If you select a folder of files to process, you will need to specify it properly by using the "C:\INPUTPATH\*.EXT" format, where EXT is the file extension of the input files (e.g. C:\Samples\*.txt).

  4. Specify the output file(s) within the Select Output File(s) area in a similar fashion to step 2. Note if you chose to process multiple input files in step 2, you must specify multiple output files by using the C:\OUTPUTPATH\*.EXT format.

  5. Optional: Click the Add (ALT+A) button to add the task to the conversion task list. If you don't plan on doing more than one conversion task, don't bother with this step.

  6. Click the Convert (F5) button to start the process.
