Convert Doc is a sophisticated, yet simple to use, batch conversion utility.   If you need to convert thousands of files with a variety of file types located within many folders in a short period of time, this is the tool, especially if you require complicated conversion jobs done on a regular basis.   Convert Doc can be run from the command line, which makes it completely scriptable and callable from other programs.

Convert Doc even gives you the flexibility to decide which conversion algorithm you use. Choose to convert files between PDF, Text, RTF, MS Word (.doc) and HTML formats using Convert Doc's native conversion algorithms, or use those built within MS Word, giving you an extreme amount of flexibility.

Convert Doc also has features to help you automate your file conversion tasks.  For example, whole directories and sub-directories of files may be specified for conversion in batch.  Converted files can be saved within the original folder or a folder of your choice.  A complex sequence of conversion tasks can be saved as a 'Conversion Job'.  Detail each task individually with Convert Doc's user-friendly interface, and 'restore' the Conversion Job for execution.

Formats and Algorithms

	Choose which conversion method to use Choose between using Convert Doc's own fast conversion algorithms or use MS Words conversion algorithm.
	MS Word and Acrobat NOT required.  Acrobat NOT required. Choose Convert Doc's native algorithms to convert between PDF, MS Word (.doc and .rtf), HTML, and Text (Unicode, ASCII etc.)
	Other formats supported Choose MS Word's conversion algorithm for conversion between any formats supported by Word, including Word format (.doc), Rich Text Format (.rtf), DOS Text, DOS Text w/line breaks, regular Text, regular Text w/line breaks, and Unicode Text.

Batch Job Capabilities

	Convert Doc's native conversion algorithms are fast Perform large jobs in a reasonable period of time.
	Perform tasks from the GUI or the Command line or ActiveX/COM interface Command line execution allows you to start a job in the background, call it from a script or another program, even schedule it for later (scheduling software not included).
	Run on entire folders Convert Doc will recursively process an entire folder of data to any number of levels.  This saves you the trouble of listing all the files to convert; just list the folder.
	Define 'Conversion Jobs' for repeated use Save and restore complex sets of conversion tasks within a single 'Conversion Job'.
	Run your batch in chunks An executing batch can be stopped midway and resumed at a later time.

Other Features

	Special processing of files including Concatenation (appending), Removing empty lines, launching 3rd party programs, search and replace strings.
	All parameters, including source and target files, conversion options etc. are persistent across runs of the program.
