There are currently two different conversion methods available:
A) 'Convert XLS'
B) MS Excel
The one you choose depends specifically on the input file type you are going to be specifying. Use the table below as a guide.
'Convert XLS' method is great for very fast file conversions. Note that installation of MS Excel is not required for this method. Also note that this method is only included in the Enterprise Edition of 'Convert XLS'.
MS Excel conversion offers a broader range of file formats, which may not be available in the 'Convert XLS' method. MS Excel conversion can handle any file format MS Excel can open and "save as".
